New Camps for 2012

Soccer Camp - An exciting new camp has arrived at Camp K this summer - a soccer skills camp! Two men are teaming up to teach the game of soccer at a brand new level while showing the campers what it means to have "character and discipline" not only in the game of soccer, but also in the game of life. Campers will experience intense training while developing their soccer skills, but will also learn about what it means to be a Christian who is an athlete.  Entering grades 7-12   August 3-5, 2011 with Coach Andrew Scott

Andrew Scott has been the men’s soccer coach at Northland International University since the summer of 2008.  Since then, he has led the NIU men’s team to two NCAAII Midwest Regional Championships (2009 & 2010) a 3rd place finish at the NCAAII National Tournament (2010) and a 2nd place finish at the NCAAII National Tournament in 2011.

Prior to coaching at NIU, Coach Scott was a successful player.  As a teen, Coach Scott played for the Rush Soccer Club as well as the U.S. Olympic Development Program.  In the ODP he played for both the Colorado State and the US West Regional (US National Pool Team) programs.  In college, Coach Scott played for NIU.  He was a 3-time NCAAII first team All-American and helped lead his team to 4 straight NCCAAII national championships. He had over 100 career goals in his college soccer career.

During and after his college career, Coach Scott also played with the following semi-pro and pro clubs: Colorado Comets (PDL), Colorado Cougars (PDL), Colorado Rapids (MLS), and the Denver Kickers (NSPL). While in Colorado, Coach Scott was also a full-time youth pastor at Woodside Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado. Coach Scott has a wife and three young children.  His passions are God, family, ministry, soccer, and mountains. Coach Scott loves teaching Biblical character and discipline through the game of soccer, and is careful to give all the glory to God.

Craig Todd is the principal and soccer coach of Miffling County Christian Academy and has a heart for young people. He lead the Varsity boys to a State Championship this past year. He loves the game of soccer and is excited about assiting Coach Scott this summer as they develop soccer skills of the campers.

Leadership Camp - Get ready for the most exciting yet the most challenging two-week Bible camp experience of your life. In addition ot the unique camp activities you will be led by Dr. Marty Von through intense training from God's Word specifically geared towards teaching you the Biblical characteristics that separate a godly leader from a wordly leader.

During week two of the program campers will have the privilege of serving in a cabin under the leadership of a trained camp counselor where they will have the priviledge of observing how the trained counselor leads and counsels the campers. During this week the campers will continue to attend sessions specifically geared towards developing their leadership skills.
