A Rich History

The rich history of Camp Kanesatake dates back to the 1920’s when the camp was built to train Sunday School teachers from all over the state. Now, decades later, hundreds of children and teenagers are still being impacted by the love of Jesus Christ as they attend camp during the summer.  Buildings that were constructed in the 1920’s and 1930’s have stood the test of time, but after thousands upon thousands of people have walked through the doors and slept in the bunks they need a little more tender loving care.

Your opportunity to adopt a cabin will enable hundreds more children to experience a life changing week at Camp Kanesatake. Simple repairs and improvements need to be made to each cabin to provide a safer and more comfortable environment for years to come.

Necessary improvements include

• Installing gutters and downpipes
• Replacing screen windows
• Replacing screen doors
• Installing new shelving
• Replacing aged counselor mattresses
• Replacing aged or damaged floor and wall boards.
• Repainting each cabin

You can Adopt a Cabin with your promise of support of the improvements. This support can be in the form of materials, finances, labor, or a combination of all three.

There are 24 cabins in total – each requiring a different amount of work. Projected costs for the repairs range from $200 to $600 per cabin.
