Hope as We Move Forward into Spring

New life is such a powerful thing!

Even though the weather cannot decide if it is winter or spring the geese think it is spring! As I hear their honks and calls as they fly north over camp, it gives me hope! Hope that spring will come and with it longer days and warmer weather.

The Bible defines hope as the confident expectation of what God has promised, and its strength is in his faithfulness. We have hope that things will change, that this is not the end, and there is something more waiting for us. God’s Word is so powerful that it gives new life. It can take someone whose soul is dead and make it alive. This truth brings hope! We have hope that one day we will have perfect bodies free from sin and perfect relationships free from corrupt motives. We will live in a perfect place with the one who made new life possible, God the Father and his Son, Jesus.

As the retreats continue at Camp Kanesatake, we are so encouraged as we continue to see new life in kids and teens as they repent from their sin and believe in Jesus as their Savior. We have confident hope that this upcoming

summer when hundreds of kids and teens come to camp that God’s Word will bring new life to so many and will reveal sin that needs to be repented from in hearts.

Thank you for your prayers and support for Camp Kanesatake as we see new life begin in nature, and God breathes new life into the souls of men!

Hebrews 6:19, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
